Kevin Hays, CEO and General Counsel, has been actively practicing real estate and probate law in Alabama since 1996. During that time period he has conducted over 7,000 real estate closings, both residential and commercial, and has seen the company grow to a point where, during the course of the most recent real estate boom, Gulf South Title Services, LLC operated 5 offices located throughout Alabama and Northwest Florida and was responsible for over 300 closed transactions per month.
Over the past two years, Gulf South Title Services has taken a pro-active stance in reducing unnecessary overhead costs, relocating its Birmingham headquarters to a more cost efficient location, and closing unprofitable offices. Now with locations in Birmingham and Huntsville, our company is well equipped to handle all of your residential and commercial title insurance and settlement service needs.
Kevin Hays is a native of Dallas, Texas and a graduate of the University of Alabama (B.S. Marketing), where he was a member of the Crimson Tide football team during the mid-1980’s under Coach Ray Perkins. He received his law degree from the University of Alabama in 1990. He was a Southeastern Conference baseball umpire for 12 years and was selected to umpire the 1998 NCAA World Series.
He now resides in Vestavia Hills with his wife, Suzan Branyon Hays of Fayette, Alabama, and their two children, Ashley (Vestavia HS Class of 2010) and Walker (Vestavia HS Class of 2013). He enjoys playing golf, watching Ashley cheer on the Rebel basketball team, and coaching Walker’s baseball team, the Birmingham Biscuits.
